Organised by the association Jazz au Pays, the Saveurs Jazz festival is a cultural event which started in 2010, in the area known as Anjou Bleu, in the Maine et Loire department.

Taking place in the city of Segré, the festival promises to bring people together from across the region, thanks to its different ingredients: a rich programme of unique projects to attract a vast crowd of people, a determination to promote the Anjou Bleu territory and its many riches (local producers, cultural coordinators…) and a team of highly-talented volunteers.

Each summer, for 5 days, the city of Segré is dressed in the colours of the Jazz Festival, in all its forms, including some major international artists, as well as some up-and-coming names.

Segré has seen some big names in the past few years : Gregory Porter, Herbie Hancock, Marcus Miller, Gilberto Gil, Ibrahim Maalouf, Ahmad Jahmal, Snarky Puppy, Lucky Peterson, Avishai Cohen, and Maceo Parker have all graced the Saveurs Jazz stage.

Some figures, in 2018:

  • - 5 days
  • - More than 9500 spectators
  • - 100 volunteers
  • - 30 events: concerts, exhibitions, lectures…
  • - A village, situated at the heart of the festival: catering, bars, a bookshop, a media library, wooden games, a tomato bar, tasting of organic and natural wines, enhancement of local products…
  • -9 different venues in Segré and in the Anjou Bleu territory

Throughout the year, the Jazz au Pays association weaves its thread through educational and cultural initiatives, essential for ensuring a long-term project and to root the initiative firmly in the local area.

These events are led by professional musicians who are involved with local and music schools.

Along with other French festivals, the Saveurs Jazz Festival is labeled “SPEDIDAM network”
